Pet Arthritis
Ensuring Comfort and Ease Through
Your Companions’ Golden Years
Just like us, our pets can face the challenges of aging, and one common hurdle they may encounter is arthritis. At 49th Street Veterinary Clinic, we understand that arthritis can significantly impact your pet’s daily well-being and quality of life. We’re here to provide the support and solutions needed to help your furry friend live comfortably and happily throughout every stage of life.
Arthritis is a joint condition that can affect dogs and cats as they age. It can limit mobility, making walking, climbing, jumping, and engaging in their usual physical activities more difficult for your pet. Reduced physical activity can lead to weight gain and obesity, further complicating their health.
about our clinic –
Big Island pet care center
Dr. Grune, a visionary in the field of veterinary medicine, founded our clinic in 1990. Opening his own practice was the realization of his lifelong dream—to deliver the highest level of care to animals in need.
Through his clinic, Dr. Grune has surpassed his expectations and provided comprehensive and compassionate care for dogs and cats throughout Hawaii. We prioritize client education and have created a comfortable space where pets and parents feel at ease.
Our lovely clinic is located within a retrofitted house. It exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The open-air lanai serves as our waiting room, and the surrounding landscaped grounds provide a serene environment to promote relaxation for your pet.
Our hands-on approach ensures that your furry friends receive personalized attention and care. We genuinely strive for the best for your pet and aim to build lasting relationships with both pets and their devoted owners. Our dedicated veterinarians and staff are here to meet all your pet healthcare needs.
Our Pet Arthritis Care Services
Comprehensive Care
At 49th Street Veterinary Clinic, we provide comprehensive arthritis care for dogs and cats. We understand that a large percentage of cats go undiagnosed with this condition due to their ability to mask pain. Our knowledgeable team can recognize the subtle signs of feline arthritis and tailor treatment to their specific needs to relieve your pet from painful arthritis symptoms.
Treatment Options
We offer various treatment options to enhance your pet’s quality of life. These may include oral medications, injection therapies, and supplements designed to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and improve joint function. We’ll work closely with you to create a personalized arthritis management plan that best suits your pet’s needs.
Allow Your Pet to Age Gracefully
Pets are masters at hiding or masking pain, so it’s crucial to be vigilant and watch for signs of arthritis. If you notice any hesitancy in their gait while running, sitting, standing, or jumping, it’s time to contact us.
Arthritis doesn’t have to be a barrier to your furry friend’s happy and fulfilling life. Together, we can explore options to help ease their arthritis symptoms and enhance their quality of life.
